This Will Make You Cry

For fun today I decided to go to the Youtube site. I don't go there a lot because I can spend hours watching some pretty silly/stupid videos. Plus I would rather 'blog' instead of watch videos. However this one video today caught my attention. The video is about a little girl and her Christmas Wish. I'm going to warn you it is a tear jerker, but will make you happy as well. (I think it runs about 2 minutes, but it is worth it)

ANDREA said...: Jen, thanks for posting that video. It hits close to home as we are getting ready for my sister to get deployed next month. This will be her second tour in Iraq, but this time is different because she has a 6month old baby that she'll be leaving behind when she goes to Iraq this time. It's really sad and hard but we know that we can only Pray that God will keep her safe and bring her back home to her baby boy.

After Shawn passed away and I lost our baby I had never felt so much grief. Every single day was hard. Shawn and I were together for 12 years. I didn't know how to be "Me" without him. It has now been two and a half years since his death. I took the time to grieve and I still do. I will ALWAYS love and miss him. However, through this process I have figured out a lot about my self and what really is important in life. I've learned not to take today for granted because you never know what tomorrow will bring. I've learned to love in a stronger way because you never know when it will be taken from you. I still have hard moments but that is just part of grief, but I now know how to handle them. I now hold memories of Shawn and I in my heart where they will be with me forever and nobody can take those from me. I also now look forward to creating and making new memories. After finding strength I didn't know I had I am happy to say I have found my "new normal". I'm looking forward to what my future has in store for me and I look forward to sharing it all with you.
