Shawn's Memorial Tree

A few weeks ago I posted about the idea my Mom had for our families second Christmas Tree. For those who don't remember my Mom thought it would be a good idea to have a smaller second tree this year in the family room because of little Bo. With the tree being smaller she also thought it would be nice to buy a Blue Spruce that could be planted in the yard after Christmas in a way to honor Shawn for years to come.

Well tonight we brought the tree inside and decorated it a little bit. We put a string of white lights, a string of gold lights, some small icicle ornaments and a variety of UofM ornaments and other football related ornaments on Shawn's tree. The angel from the funeral home is the tree topper. I also put the UofM football helmet ornament on the tree.

I hope Shawn is looking down from Heaven tonight and smiling at a tree that is decorated just for him.
