#3-SUPRISE

Well many of you have been asking for a while now to see pictures of Shawn and I. Some of you have been asking to see pictures of us for much longer(Nicole). The reason I never put any on before is because Shawn didn't want our pictures to be on my blog for "security reasons". He said he didn't feel good knowing that people could find out where we live, and that there was a picture to connect with it. But I figured it was probably ok to go ahead and post these now. Neither one of us were really big on taking pictures. I really wish we had more now. Really the only other pictures I have of the two of us are from his sisters wedding 5 years ago and one picture of us taken last summer, and that is it. I forgot to scan that one, so you are going to have to wait for the most recent one. All of these are from our wedding 7 and a half years ago. I look nothing like I did then. My hair is now short, but I guess I'm the same size now as in these pics. Wahoo!!!(actually maybe a little skinner)Shawn started shaving his head last summer because he was starting to go bald. Taken at our rehearsal dinner at my parents house. I had some sweet bangs back then.
Phew! All done with the hard part. We were coming down from the church steps right here.

Our wedding party. Made up of friends and family.

My favorite picture taken at the church.

This was OUR favorite picture taken at the wedding. Everybody else hated it because we wouldn't take our sun glasses of, but we loved it. Other than the picture taken at the church this was the one we enlarged had framed and hung in our living room. We thought we looked pretty freakin cool.

Just a little kiss before dinner. Like my bib? But I didn't spill once!

Cutting our wedding cake. I loved loved our cake. It was so hard the lady said she would never make this cake again!

This is my favorite picture taken of our wedding. This was our first dance and Shawn was singing our wedding song to me. For those of you who are wondering our song was "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait. This is the picture I always had in our bedroom on our dresser. It is in my "new" bedroom now.

One last kiss before leaving for the night. I also thought this was a really cool picture of my hair. My hair was down past my bra strap in knots yes knots called Zooloo knots. Three was over 300 bobby pins in my hair. Shawn had to help me take it down that night. I looked like a crazy lady with a million snakes on my head afterwards. Can we say sexy??
So there you have it. A few pictures of our wedding day. It was the best day of my life. I've looked at these a lot over the last 11 weeks and they have brought both smiles and tears to my face. I hope you have all enjoyed looking at them.

Thanks so much for posting these. For some reason putting a face to a name is really comforting (especially I tend to create my own pictures of all of you in my head and they NEVER match!)

((hugs))

Thanks for sharing your pictures. You look so beautiful in your dress. I also liked the way your hair looked. I have never seen a hair style like that. I did the same thing as you and counted I think 50 pins in my hair. I sat there and took out what I could and then my husband helped with the rest.

Loved the pix. I rocked some bangs when I got married 6 years ago. Tim then talked me into growing them out. Haha Thanks for sharing. You were a beautiful couple.

I got here through "Bring the Rain" - I just wanted to extend my condolences on your losses, and let you know that there is another person in Michigan praying for you.
