A 'Friendly' Faithful Friday #6

It's Friday again, and you know what that means. Time for Faithful Friday. Remember, where I share a little inspirational quote. Then you leave a comment telling me what the quote means to you.

Today's quote is:

"Friends...they cherish each other's hopes. They are kind to each other's dreams."
-Henry David Thoreau

I decided to pick this quote today because once again this week I realized I have the best friends EVER! My phone started ringing bright and early Monday morning, it was my friends calling to wish me Happy Birthday. In the short time I took Bo outside, I had another three voice mails from various friends, and we were seriously only outside for like three minutes.

My friends have been a constant rock in my life the last 14 1/2 months. I mean my friends were great and awesome before Shawn passed away, but they have all been there every step of the way for me since. I would say that my friendship has changed with each of my three best friends. However, the change has been for the better and something that I'm so grateful for. We all are much closer now than what we were. I guess that is to be expected after what we all went through. I say what we went through because Jennie and Lora were there with me in the ER when they told me Shawn had died. Jennie was holding me and hardly left my side that entire day. Well, only to make me some Jello, but that is an entirely different hysterical story. One that I think I will share with you all some day. Megan and I talked on the phone a few different times the day Shawn died. My three best friends went through those awful life shattering moments with me. That is why I think our friendship is so much stronger now.

Each and every one of my friends has been there for me in ways that I could never of imagined and they continue to be there for me. My friends are there for me when I need to cry, they are they for me when I just need to talk, they are there to give me a little kick in the butt when I need it, and they are there for laughs and fun...we are always there for each other. That is one of the greatest things about having friends, always being there for each other. We cherish each other's hopes and we are kind to each other's dreams.

I'm also grateful for all of my new friends that have surfaced in my life this last year. I have met some truly wonderful people that I'm now happy to call my friends. God really does bring people into your life when you need them the most.

Thank you to all of my friends...that means my blogging friends as well. I love you all!!

Please tell me about some of your friends and why they are so special in your life.

I have had friends come in and out of my life. I think the best ones stay forever. I love those you can call and just talk to no matter what. I really enjoy all of my friends and count on them.

Some of my bestest friends are my family - mom, sis & SIL's. They would do anything for me.
Also, I consider ALL my blog buddies my friends too, after all they personally understand my IF struggles.

Recently, 2 friends have stood out in my life when I needed someone the most. I had HORRIBLE post partum depression after having twins and was getting an hour of sleep a day...I was losing it. My sis-in-law stayed the night and took care of the boys from midnight till 9 am one night so we could get a break...she wasn't just family that night but a friend! And, my best friend offered to take them both for the night...I didn't put her through that but the offer was so special!
