Before I get to the give-a-way and the something new I want to thank you for all the sweet comments about my ring. Several people left me emails and told me that the picture of the ring left them with tears in their eyes. That was not my intent, I just wanted to share the finished result with you, as I have shared everything else with you. Thank you once again, and you all are the best!
Now for the new....
I think I would like to try something new on my blog. Don't worry, I will still share my feelings with you and let you know what is going on in my life. After all that is what this blog is about and plus I have to...it's an outlet for me. However, one day a week on Friday's I would like to try a little something. Kind of like how MckMama does on Monday's with her "Not Me Monday" posts.
Last week when Ruth passed away they found a book when they were cleaning her room. Her children gave it to us because they weren't sure what to do with it. The book is called "Little Whispers of Wisdom" That night I got to looking at the book and reading a few pages here and there. It is a little book full of little inspirational thoughts and quotes. I thought it would be fun to share one quote out of this book with you every Friday (unless there is something major that I need to share instead). I will share the quote and then tell you what that quote means to me. Then I thought it would be fun if you all would share in a comment what the quote meant to you. Sound fun? Or does it sound like a silly idea none of you are interested in? Well, I guess we will try it once and see what happens.
Now for the give-a-way....I would like to think of a "catchy" name for this idea and well I'm just not that creative to think of something on my own. So I would like you all to help me think of a title for the Friday posts. Then hold on to your hats for this one...once I read through all the ideas (I hope there is lots of them) I will pick the one I like the best and then that person will get a copy of "Little Whispers of Wisdom"! Sent out in the mail by yours truly. I will keep this post up until Monday at 10:00 pm, at that time I will pick and notify the winner. So who wants to play along?? Anybody??
Now for the first inspirational thought from "Little Whispers of Wisdom" Drum roll please......
"No matter what your age or your condition, your dreams are renewable. Whether you're 5 or 105, you have a lifetime ahead of you!"
What this means to me....
Obviously as you all know my hopes and dreams were taken away from me on August 18, 2008. My entire life changed literally in a blink of an eye. On that day and three weeks later when I lost our baby every dream that I had came crashing down around me. At that moment I felt like I didn't want to ever dream again. I felt that way because I knew Shawn wouldn't be a part of that dream I originally had. Now, at almost 14 months later I have a slightly different view. While I still miss Shawn every single day, and still think about him all the time I know and realize that he will always be with me now and in the future. I have also realized that I still have a lot of life left to live. Sadly, a huge chapter in my life closed, but my book didn't end. I still have a lifetime in front of me and many chapters yet to write. I now realize I have the right to dream again, like the quote says dreams are renewable. The last few months I have realized that it is ok to start dreaming of happy things again. I think and know Shawn would want me to start dreaming of my happiness once again. Shawn always told me to dream big, and well I'm going to try my hardest to do just that.
Ok, now it's your turn. Tell me what this quote means to you.
Oh, and by the way, I can't wait to read all of your responses!

"No matter what your age or your condition, your dreams are renewable. Whether you're 5 or 105, you have a lifetime ahead of you!"
What this means to me...My MIL ( who is 61 ) has a son who has cerebral palsy, B is 36 yrs.old, wears diapers and still needs to be fed like a baby. All her life she has taken care of him, everday. She very rarely gets a break, meaning time for herself. About 5 or 6 years ago she decided to join a Red Hat group with a few friends. They starting planning events, parties and get togethers for each month. This is when I started seeing a change in my MIL, she was happy again. She had something to look forward to, someone who appreciated her...she found happiness through her new & old friends. She came alive ! I have seen her do things in the past years that she would have never done. She told me that when she had B and found out he had CP, her life went on hold and she was tired of being on hold. She needed to enjoy some things. She now has a wonderful babysitter who comes once or twice a week so she can get out and get her mind off her situation. She said she wished she would have done this earlier in her life but that is okay because she is enjoying herself now. She told me lately to go out and enjoy life, don't be like her and wait until it is almost too late and life passes you by...
Friday's Whispers.
How about "Ruth Whispers" on Friday
Inspirational Friday?
I thought and thought, all afternoon.
All I can come up with is: "Jenny's Quotation Rotation" or "Quotation Rotation Fridays".
Lame, but I wanted to submit something, because I heart your blog:)
"Phrases of Wisdom"
"Wise thoughts by Jenny"
"Snipets of wisdom"
"A glimpse of Wisdom, Friday"
Something like that?
I am still working them through.
I haven't posted a comment on here in a while. But I still read your blog every day and think about you.

How about "Weekly Wisdom"
Hi Jen,
You don't know me but I found your blog from another blog I read. I have only followed your story for a few months, but in that time I have learned so much from you. I think your are a strong and inspirational person. I like your new idea for your blog and think you have some great name suggestions! Here's one more...Whispers from Heaven.
Faithful Friday? LOL! I'm not good at this!
