Faithful Friday

It's Friday, well it's almost Friday so that means that it is time for another dose of Faithful Friday. A little inspirational thought or quote to maybe perk up your day or to make you think a little bit. Today's quote isn't a real thinker, it's just a nice simple quote. Lets see if we can get more than five comments today. I would love for you all to participate this week by telling me something nice you did for another person. Today's quote is:

"A friendly look...a kindly smile, one good act, and life's worthwhile."

Today I was walking into a store and as I was approaching the double doors I saw an elderly lady trying to open the big glass door. I could tell as I was walking up to the store that she was having trouble getting the door open. As I got closer to the entrance I could see that the lady had a huge cast on her leg and was trying to open the door while keeping her balance on two crutches. I jogged up to the door and opened it the rest of the way for her. She walked out the door, stopped and smiled at me and said, "Why thank you sweetie, nobody has tried to help me all day. Thank you for your help." I smiled at her and told her that it was no problem.

So, now it's your turn. Have you recently done something to make it just a little easier for another person? Have you helped somebody out by doing something nice?

Starting in November I will be participating once again this year in National Blog Posting Month. That is where you post every day of the month. It is harder than it sounds. If there is anything you would like to know, or something you would like me to blog about leave me a comment and tell me. I have lots that I want to blog about, but I would really like some other ideas as well.

Have a great weekend!

I left a note under my DH cereal bowl so when he ate breakfast in the morning he would find it ! Who knew a little random act of kindness like that would make his day !

Awww Jen you are such a sweetie for helping that poor lady!

I think sometimes it takes the smallest things and it can change someone day drastically. I'm a smiler and I tend to smile at people when I pass them randomly in the grovery aisle for example..and it makes my day better when I get a smile back. It's kind of like a chain reaction..I smile at someone and it brightens their day so they smile at someone and it brightens their day and so on. :)

About the only thing I can think of that I might have done to brighten someone else's day today is tell a young girl that her babies were precious. (I've been stuck in the office all day.) But, like Morgan stated, I usually try to smile at people all the time.

Since I'm home most of the time I can't think of anything recent. I did surprise my husband with his birthday present a month early though. He thought it was great.

I noticed a little boy reaching for a toy at the dollar store, I helped him get it.
