Super Fun Day!!

Today I had a super fun day!! Today was the day that I finally got to meet a fellow blog reader. Today was the day that I got to meet Dot! You can read about Dot here, http://hopesanddreamsforus.blogspot.com/.

I first met Dot a little under two years ago on the Web MD trying to conceive message boards. Dot was always there to encourage everyone on the board. She was like a big sister to all of us. There are many of us who became friends through that board and came to lean on Dot in many ways. A few of the ladies that I have become friends with since being on those boards are, Dot, Jayme http://thewonderfulworldofjayme.blogspot.com/, Nancy http://thenewlifeofnancy.blogspot.com/, Nicole (who uhm doesn't have a blog YET! but really should), Christina http://insidethemindofchristinah.blogspot.com/, and Morgan http://morganseverydaylife.blogspot.com/. We were all there for each other all of the time. I would totally love one day to meet each of them. I would also like to meet many other of my readers as well. I think it sounds fun to travel around and meet each of you. Who would be in for that? However, today was the day to meet Dot! We have been talking about meeting for several months now. We actually only live about two hours apart from each other. We were going to meet one time this summer, but it just didn't work out. Then one day last week we finally set up to meet today! I was so excited to finally get to meet her.

At 9:30 we met at for coffee. Right then and there in the middle of the parking lot we gave each other a big hug. We went in had our coffee and ended up talking until right around 11:00. You would have maybe thought there would be a lull in actual conversation beings that this was the first time we had actually met. However, the exact opposite happened. We just ended up talking and talking. I think after being on the message boards together, then reading our blogs, and chatting on FaceBook it was like we already "knew" each other. It was GREAT! Dot is about one of the sweetest people ever and she is a great lady! After we were done with our coffee and chatting we decided to go across the street to the outlet mall. You guessed it, we planned to meet for coffee, then shop!

The first store we went to was

I happen to love this store and already have two Coach purses so I wasn't going to buy anything, really...I wasn't. But last night I just happened to get a coupon emailed to me for an additional 20% off any item in the entire store. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything unless it was on a super great sale. Dot and I entered the store and saw lots of stuff on clearance. We were like kids in a candy store. We walked around the store two or maybe three times before we both knew what we were going to buy. Remember when I said I wasn't going to buy anything? Well that was until I saw this...

a deep shade of orange leather purse. You know the soft as butter type of leather, the type of leather you just want to rub your face on, the type of leather that just smells terrific. Dot and I even laughed because we were both standing there touching all of the leather purses. Well, I ended up getting it. It was on a awesome sale...I had to. I won't tell you how much the purse was, because it was crazy expensive, but it was 50% off and I could use my coupon on top of that. So I got this awesome purse for 70% off and paid well under a $100 for it. I'm DONE, I swear to you all I'm DONE buying Coach purses!! (well until there is another great sale) I wasn't alone, Dot got a cute purse too and it's orange.

After we left Coach we went to

I was looking for a cute pair of slip on tennis shoes. Something that can either be worn with jeans for a quick run to town or with yoga pants. We walked into the store and it was buy one get one half off. So we both decided to get a pair, and ended up getting them for a great deal. I got these.
I hope they are comfortable. I hate it when I get a pair of shoes and I don't end up liking them. After we left there we walked in and out of a few different stores. While we shopped we just kept on a talking, it was like we had known each other forever! Have I mentioned it was so great to finally meet Dot?!

After shopping we realized that we were getting hungry so for lunch we went here

I've eaten here a few times and the food is always good. I was proud of both of us because we both got fairly healthy things to eat for lunch. I did have some fries, but that is totally ok because I was walking around all day. Again, during lunch we just talked and talked. We talked about her family, we talked about my family, about Shawn, about babies, and we talked about life in general.

After lunch we went to one more store. We were both good girls and decided not to buy anything else. Dot had to leave around 2:30 so after we went to that store we said good bye to each other. We also said that we wanted to meet again sometime. We really don't live all that far from each other so I hope in the future we will continue to meet up. I would really enjoy hanging out with Dot again.

After Dot left I realized I had to kill about about two hours before I could go pick up Bo from puppy camp. So I thought I would do a little more shopping, uhm I mean a little more looking that turned into buying. Anyways, I'm going to a Halloween party, a dress up party next weekend, and still don't have a costume so I went into the Halloween store there. Let me just tell you the prices on the adult costumes were out of this world ridiculous expensive. I got a few ideas, so I'm hoping I can make a costume. Be on the watch out for the Halloween post, it should be a good one! I think I'm going to be something that none of you would expect!

I hate winter and I hate wearing winter coats even more. I can not stand the big bulk of wearing a coat. I got a coat last year but the arms are a little tight this year. It's a good thing though, the arms are tight because I'm getting some big muscles on my arms....love it!! Someone even commented to me the other day at the gym about my arm muscles!!! Anyways, I walked in and they were having a HUGE sale on everything. I wasn't going to really buy anything but then I saw this coat

and I had to have it. It is the lightest weight down filled winter coat I have ever had, but yet so warm and cozy at the same time. It was also a great deal. The original price was $150 and I only paid $40. I mean come on who could pass up that deal? Mine is not green, but instead a really light mustard type color. So cute. I hate winter, can't stand it, hope it doesn't really happen this year, but at the same time I can't wait to wear this coat.

Once I was done there it was time to head back home to pick up Bo. I made a quick stop at Target and bought the movie The Proposal. I saw it three times in the theater and loved it!! It is super funny!! You should go rent it, or heck even buy it if you haven't seen it.

After getting Bo I swung into Starbucks once again and got a yummy Spiced Apple Cider. It was fantastic and warmed me up after walking around the outlet mall outside.

I had a great day! I found some great sales! I'm so glad that I finally got to met Dot, she is an awesome lady, I'm glad to call her my friend and I can't wait until we meet up again.
