I Feel the Need...the Need for Speed!

Hi to everyone!!! I just wanted to give you all a quick update on my trip here in Youngstown so far. Jennie's computer crashed so I haven't gotten a chance to update or read any blogs. Today however I have her work computer so hopefully I will be able to catch up and leave you all some comments within the next few days.

So far my trip has been pretty good. I got her Friday afternoon and spent some time with Jennie's kids while she was still at work. Then Friday night was Devin's pre-school graduation ceremony. We all went and watch little Devin sing on the stage. The entire class put on a great presentation for all of us.

Saturday morning Jennie, the kids and I just kind of bummed around the house. Then we spent the afternoon at our friend Lora's house because it was her son Luca's third birthday. The weather was wonderful and we all spent the afternoon outside watching all the kids play in the sprinkler. It was nice and relaxing and good to hang out with everyone. Saturday night Jennie and I curled up on the couch and watched P.S. I Love You. We both sat on the couch and cried, but we had a good time none the less.

Sunday we went to church and watched her oldest two boys perform in the Vacation Bible School Summer program. Then we went home and cleaned up the yard in preparation for the upcoming July 4th party. The rest of Sunday was spent hanging out with Jennie's brother and sister in-law and their kids. We had a great day and spent much of the day outside.

Monday Jennie had to go to work so Bo and I went for a nice long walk on the bike trail and I just came back to the house and had some 'me' time. Once Jennie got home from work we all ate dinner as a 'family' and then headed outside to play before bed time. A few weeks ago Jennie's fiancee Chris bought Jennie a new motorcycle. It is sharp to say the least. We were all outside and Jennie asked me if I wanted to ride it. Me on a bike? I have never before in my life been on a bike. Too scary and for sure not safe. However, I changed into some jeans and tennis shoes, strapped on the helmet and climbed on back. Chris took me for a ride. It was freakin AWESOME!! I loved it. Although I think I may have squeezed Chris a little too tight. It was so much fun and I have to say....I loved going that fast. Here we are pulling in the driveway.
Here is Chris and I getting ready to go for the ride. Do I look nervous?
Yesterday the real fun of my trip started. Jennie had her four wisdom teeth taken out. Chris and I took her to the dentist and waited for her to get done. When Jennie first saw me after the surgery she was crying looked at me and in a muffled cotton filled mouth she said "Coin....I want to go home!" I told her we would go in just a little while. She then proceeded to try and get up on her own only to fall into my lap. As I was talking to her and getting all the instructions from the nurse I looked at Jennie and she was drooling. I being the friend I am wiped the drool from her mouth. I mean I couldn't let her walk around dripping from her mouth. Then Jennie opened up her mouth and proceeded to drool bloody drool into the palm of my hand. All I could do was smile and her and push her hair out of her face. She was out cold and had no idea what was going on. After all that's what friends are for. The rest of yesterday and most of today Chris and I have taken turns caring for her and the three boys. Chris and I have teamed up very well to make sure all was taken care of. Jennie is still really really swollen and very sore, but I think she maybe starting to turn the corner as I write this tonight.
The rest of the time here will be spent with Jennie and her family. I will also be spending some time with the coach's. I can't wait to be able to hang out with my guys for a while. Then on Saturday we have our party here at Jennie's and I will also be going to a party at one of the Coach's houses. It will be lots of fun and I cant' wait for Saturday to get here.
Sunday will be spent relaxing from the weekend, then on Monday I will be heading home.
Either tomorrow or Friday I will also be going to the stadium to receive Shawn's awards. As soon as that happens I will make a post and put on the link so that you all can see.
I haven't forgotten about any of you. I'm going to be reading and commenting in the next few days. I hope all is well and have a Happy and Safe July 4th!!

Gotta love bike rides but the older I get I realize how dangerous "other" drivers can be for bikers.
You are going to need to rest up when you get home. Thanks for keeping us up to date on your fun trip!

Wow, you're so brave to get on that bike! I would have been terrified!
Hope Jeannie feels better. I know it's no fun getting wisdom teeth out.
