This picture was taken his first night home. Wasn't he so small and cute? I mean look at that sweet little face!
This was from the night I went to pick him out. He was the only one in the litter with his eyes open.He was so excited to play with his new toys. He played and played all morning and then slept most of the afternoon. It was kind of funny because he put all of his toys on the floor and played with each and every one of them. After he played with each of them he realized his favorite new toy was a chicken flavored Nylabone.
All in all Bo had a great first year. Yes, he had his fair share of being sick with odd things I never knew that puppies could get. Such as getting pink eye and the flu. I mean what dog gets pink eye and the flu? The little guy has also had his fair share of allergy problems, but I think we have got that under control...at least for now. The vet suggested he have allergy testing in late October so we can figure out exactly what he is allergic to. So we will be doing that within the next month.
Other than the allergy issues Bo is doing great. He is still very attached to me, and yes he still sleeps in my bed with me, but I really don't mind. It is nice to have something to snuggle up to at night. The highlight of Bo's week is when he goes to Doggie Camp...he loves it and has a favorite little buddy that he plays with every Tuesday when he goes.
I'm so glad that I got Bo just about a year ago. He has been a ton of work, as he is a rather "high maintence dog", but he has helped me through a lot this last year and I love him lots and lots!
Happy Birthday Bo!!
(yes, I'm a person who loves their dog probably more than I should...but that's ok...I think!)

No, I think it's ok to love your dog that much!! I too celebrate my dog's birthday in April!! Dog's really are a man's best friend!! They're loyal and there for you through good times and bad!!
Happy Birthday Bo!!
I commented on these on FB but I just had to say ooonne more time how freaking adorable he is, seriously! My dog goes everywhere with me, even to work. It takes 3 trips to unload the diaper bag and other things, Mason, and Peanut. Haha!
P.S.- I ~love~ the new blog makeover, too cute!! :)
We had to have our 15 year old terrier, Rascal, put to sleep July 31 due to kidney failure. We had him since he was 4 weeks old. Not a day goes by that I don't cry. On his birthday and Christmas we would wrap his presents. He would love to 'unwrap' them. We would put his presents under the Christmas tree and he would snoop until he found them!(Yea, we are dog people, too!) Oh, how I miss him!
I love this. How cute is Bo. He has gotten so big for sure. I am glad he had a wonderful Birthday.

The collar and leash are awesome too!
Whenever I look at Bo, I remember fondly my uncle's boston terrier that I grew up with--Max. So, Bo has a special place in my heart too.
