Now onto the "supposed storm"...
Well I lied yesterday. The "supposed storm" or rather blizzard I posted about last night hit with vengeance last night and this morning! There was no "supposed" about it. We had a blizzard...no lie! I know I live in Michigan but other than when I was living in the Upper Peninsula I don't ever remember seeing snow like this in the middle of the state. EVER! The storm really started to pick up last night right as I was finishing my post. The wind was howling and the snow was starting to swirl. There was wind gusts around 45 mph last night and this morning with the majority of the snow happening early this morning. It's really hard to tell how much snow we actually got because of all the blowing and drifting but there is not a spot in my yard that has less than a foot of snow. There are several places in the yard where the snow was up to the middle of my thigh, and I'm only 5 foot 4 to give you an idea of the amount of snow. Everything in town was shut down today and I mean everything including the mall, restaurants, and city buildings and that NEVER happens. I got the call a little after 6:00 this morning that our daycare was also closing...(thank you Jesus!) So I rolled over and went back to sleep for a bit and then I decided I should probably go out and try to shovel a bit. Ha! That was funny, I shoveled for about a half hour and hardly made a dent in the driveway, it was impossible to shovel it. Totally ridiculous I tell you. Here are a few pictures I took just in case any of you don't believe me and the supposed storm...I mean BLIZZARD!
The snow and a drift in the front of the house.
This is a really bad picture, but it is of tire tracks on the road. No plows have gone through the side city streets yet and there is easily about a foot of snow on them. You are going no where unless you have four wheel or all wheel drive cars.
Snow climbing the neighbors fence.
The solid white backyard. Poor Bo has no place to go to the bathroom, the snow is way deeper than he is. I shoveled him a teeny tiny potty spot on the side of the house. He is not a happy puppy right now.
This is probably the best picture. Its out the sliding door looking out onto the flat deck! Yes...we got a LOT of snow!!!!How many days until spring?? I'm so ready, I think I just might cry if it snows more. The kids are happy though...day two of snow day is happening tomorrow. Back to work for me.

I think everyone who has snow is sick of the snow. I'm so ready for spring!!
I love your new look! It is very sophisticated!
Yep, snow sucks. :-) I grew up in Michigan, and often bragged to my NE friends that they knew nothing of winter until they suffered through a bad Michigan one. And now we are with extras!
Wow, the design is seriously amazing!!!
P.S. This is Tami, not really anonymous, but too lazy to log in on my phone :-)
Love the new design - love the color scheme! Yeah, I hate the snow, too, we have as much snow as you have now for about 5 months out of the year!
Love the new design! (Just thought I would point out that you have the word "That" duplicated in the first row at the very end and then again at the second row at the very beginning. Maybe it's just my computer though! :))
